Electronic music has always distinguished by extraordinary sounding and variety of tunes. Some people like it, the others don’t, however no one is indifferent. The history of electronic music is long and bewildering, and worth to be explored.
The most essential innovations to musical genre happened in the 60s with the launch of the first electronic keyboard. Electric organs were the first to occur and became widely utilized. Soon followed electrically amplified pianos and the Mellotron that was a kind of a sampling device. Despite the fact that the electronically produced sound was rather distinct in some of the songs, it still wasn’t true electronica as we got used to think of it. The incorporation of acoustic and electric guitars, bass guitar and live drumming were dominant in the tune’s sound, hereby classifying it as electro-acoustic music.
Among the pioneers of early electronic music was Jean-Michel Jarre. He joined the GRM Music Research Group in Paris, and began experimenting with electro-classical music.
