The XX century brought the problem of fuel that people demand for heating of their homes in winter period. Such materials as squared timber blockhouses and beam frames lost their capability to befit the requirements of contemporary energy conservation. Strict rules in thermal shielding of houses that are provided in Europe are really difficult to meet. Citizens have to apply effectual thermal insulating stuff. The thickness of external walls should be different for different types. For example, 150 centimeters for brick walls, 50 centimeters for squared timber walls and 15 centimeters for wooden carcass walls.

This building technology is supposed to be a Canadian one. Frame houses are distinguishing feature of Canadian style of architecture. In the early nineties emerged one more notion that partly defined this technique - sandwich - panel houses.

A construction that will comply with all the contemporary demands in energy efficiency, comfort, ecology and fire safety, must be built appropriate to framework technique with efficient heat insulation stuff. Read the rest of this entry »
