There are semiconductors of certain materials. Their electrical resistance should be somewhere among the resistance of a conductor and a non-conductor. The electrical resistance of semiconductors also is affected by changes in temperature or added dashes.

The material includes dashes if some other components have been put to it. The finished mixture defines the semi-conductors as power semiconductor devices of type-n and type-t.

The use of type-n and type-t semiconductors is necessary to produce diodes and transistors. Usually silicon is used to produce semiconductors now.

Just to send the stream of electrical current in only one sense diodes are used. They are made of semi-conductor substance. In each diode there is a component created of positive and negative constructions (known as p- and n-) and of barrier level (pn-transfer). Diodes create electrical schemes changing between direct and alternating electrical current. Because that diodes let current go just in one sense only a part of the period or cycle is completed. Specialists name such a junction a rectifier.

LED (light diodes) is a different variant of diodes. They are applied in case it's a task to produce light at small voltages and parallel make no warmth. Such diodes are used in all units of up-to-date electronic equipment including tv sets or stereo units in order to signal the on state.

Moore's law led to the popularization of thyristors manufactures. What is the most significant factor to make complicated power semiconductor devices at smaller prices? Lithography is. Speaking of optical lithography, it eventually gives way to the increase of new techniques because it has reached its physical limit.
